Education:
I have been playing piano from the early age of 6.
I began playing classical music, but throughout my early years I was exposed to Blues, listing to people
like B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Bobby 'Blue' Bland, and many others. Throughout my late middle school
and early High School years I experimented and mastered the blues style of playing, which included
boogie woogie styles and some stride piano. Late highschool I began to develop an interest for Jazz. My college education began at Carroll Community, where I began practicing music theory and enrolled
in the Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Combo there. After two years of study at Carroll, I transitioned to McDaniel college. There I continued theory courses, taking all four levels of theory, including Jazz theory, aural
training courses, private lessons (both Classical and Jazz) and continual enrollment in the McDaniel Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Combo. Through music theory and ear training my appreciation and understanding of
jazz and proficiency as a jazz pianist, has grown into what it is today. Now I perform music (mainly Jazz, but can also play anything from blues to rock and many other genres)on the side, playing in various combos and
solo piano when I can.
Bands/Venues played in: Various venues ranging from places in Westminster, to DC/Baltimore, and Pennsylvania, and have had a gig in Nashville, TN, at the airport.
