Two "frequency selective" preamp voicings (called Body and Detail) give you incredible tonal flexibility, while the power amplifier is based largely on the first Marshall amplifiers to be produced, with four KT66 output tubes yielding a fat and smooth tone, with plenty of output for even the largest venue. A mid-boost switch on the front panel fattens the tone even more while a taditional Marshall tone control circuit enables you to fine tune your sound.
A master volume gives you the ability to manage this amp’s output effectively at any venue. A reverb level control mixes the onboard "plate" reverb with the direct signal, so you can make the signal as "wet" or "dry" as you wish. The reverb is footswitchable for even more onstage flexibility.
The 2266 Vintage Modern 100-watt head includes a series effects loop so you can add outboard gear to your sound. Loop levels of -10dB and +4dB are selectable via a rear panel switch. You can completely bypass the effects loop also.
